We’re in Beta: Maven Cycle Tracker is being rolled out to a limited audience to start so we can work out all the kinks. If you don’t see it in your account yet, you will as soon as it’s ready for all members. (Thanks for your patience!)
At Maven, we understand that your journey to conception can be both exciting and, at times, a little overwhelming. We're here to support you every step of the way, and that includes helping you understand your body's unique rhythms. That's why we're excited to introduce the Maven Cycle Tracker, a new feature designed to empower female members in our fertility program who are trying to conceive naturally.
How the Maven Cycle Tracker Helps You
The Maven Cycle Tracker is a tool within your Maven app designed to help you understand your menstrual cycle better. Our goal is to help you conceive naturally by timing intercourse to your fertile window and to identify any potential cycle irregularities that might affect your chances of conception.
With the Cycle Tracker, you can easily log daily entries, including:
- Period dates and flow
- Symptoms and moods
- Cervical fluid
- Basal body temperature
- Ovulation test results
- Pregnancy test results
- Intercourse/insemination
Personalized Insights to Guide Your Journey
Based on the data you track, the Maven Cycle Tracker provides you with personalized insights to help you navigate your cycle and journey to conception:
- Predictions: You'll receive predictions about upcoming events like your fertile window or period start date, based on the information you log.
- Clinical Check-ins: If you log certain symptoms, such as pelvic pain or unclear ovulation test results, you may receive a clinical check-in to provide you with further support.
- Risk Alerts: The system can identify potential cycle irregularities, like cycles that are unusually short or long. If this happens, we'll connect you with a Maven provider who can help you understand next steps.
- Tracking Reminders: We'll send you helpful reminders to log your data, such as the start of your period or ovulation test results, to ensure your predictions are as accurate as possible.
Recommended Actions for Your Best Path Forward
Our insights go beyond just information; they provide the context and education for recommended actions to support you:
- Logging Symptoms: We encourage you to continue logging your symptoms. This helps improve tracking and prediction accuracy and allows us to connect you with relevant resources for support.
- Reading Articles: You'll receive suggestions for relevant educational articles for further reading, offering trusted advice right at your fingertips.
- Booking Appointments: For clinical check-ins or concerns about irregularities, we may recommend booking an appointment with one of our compassionate Maven providers.
- Using Ovulation Predictor Kits (OPKs): We can suggest when to start using OPKs, especially if you're trying to conceive or have irregular cycles, and provide more information on how to interpret your results.
- Editing Data: To ensure accurate predictions, we'll remind you to edit or confirm tracked data, such as your period dates.
What if I stop logging data?
We understand that life happens! If you haven't logged a period by the predicted period end date, we'll pause displaying future predictions, and let you know why. This helps us avoid giving you inaccurate information. When you’re ready, you can log your data again or meet with a Maven provider who can help you with your specific situation.
Can I import data from my existing tracker?
Yes, for our members on iOS, you can connect to Apple Health to display cycle data, symptoms, and moods in Maven. Even if you don’t track your cycle directly in Apple Health, you can import your cycle history from other tracking apps to Apple Health first and then connect to Maven. Enable the sync for your app and Health by choosing all the categories you would like to transfer to the Health app. Then sync Apple Health and Maven from your menu > Account settings > Health data sharing > Connect. We're also developing our integration roadmap with other wearable devices and apps in mind. If you have ideas or preferences, we encourage you to reach out and help influence our roadmap! In the meantime, the best way to improve your prediction accuracy is to manually log at least three previous period dates.
We're here to help you feel seen, heard, and supported as you navigate your unique family-building journey.
