What is Maven Wallet?
Maven Wallet makes it easier to pay for the family-building care you need. Your employer provides funds in your Maven Wallet for eligible expenses, so you can focus on what matters most—your family goals.
How do I know if I have access to Maven Wallet?
If your employer offers Maven Wallet, you will see a menu item in your “Me” section named “My Maven Wallet”. If you don’t, it means your employer has not elected Wallet as part of your Maven benefit. However, even if you don’t have Wallet, you are still eligible for self-pay discounts at some of our Maven Performance Network clinics, and on fertility medications through our MavenRx program, just by being a Maven member!
What expenses are covered through Maven Wallet?
Your employer may choose to offer Wallet for any number of categories, including fertility treatment, fertility preservation (aka egg or sperm freezing), maternity care, menopause support, child care, adoption, and surrogacy expenses. To determine exactly which categories are offered by your employer, please refer to your Maven Wallet Program Overview.
As long as the expense falls within your company’s policy, you’re good to go! To see exactly what’s covered under your plan, check your Maven Wallet Program Overview. You can find it on your Maven Wallet dashboard—just scroll to the bottom under the “Learn more” section.
What kind of Wallet do I have?
Maven Wallet comes in two variations, Green and Gold. The main difference between the two is how payments are processed, but both give you access to funds from your employer to use on eligible expenses. The easiest way to find which version of Wallet you have is to look at your Benefit ID. Under the “Me” menu right under your name, tap on “Benefit ID”. Your card will either be green or gold and have the designation in the lower right hand corner.
How does Maven Wallet work?
For Maven Green members:
Maven Green members have access to employer funds via reimbursement.
- Self-pay: For services not covered by your major medical insurance and/or you have exhausted your major medical benefit, you will pay for self-pay services using a personal method of payment (or your prepaid Maven Card if eligible) and, depending on the Maven benefits offered by your employer you will be reimbursed.
- Maven Card: If you have a Maven Card, you can use it for eligible fertility expenses at any clinic that is on our Accepted Card Providers list. Just swipe it to pay for eligible expenses, then upload any required documentation to your Maven Wallet within 30 days of your transaction to get it approved.
For Maven Gold members:
Maven Gold members have access to employer funds via direct payment for fertility and reimbursement for all others.
- Direct payments: For fertility and preservation services at a Maven partner clinic, you can enable your Maven Wallet to pay the clinic directly using your Maven Wallet Benefit ID. You’ll see these transactions in your Maven Wallet.
- For all other categories of eligible expenses, you will pay for services using a personal method of payment, and depending on the Maven benefits offered by your employer, you will be reimbursed.
