If you live in the United States, you may be able to get prescriptions from certain Maven providers.
Here’s what you need to know:
- Provider requirements: The provider must be licensed in your state.
- Benefit coverage: Your employer's Maven plan must include prescription services.
- How to find prescribing providers: Look for the Rx icon on Maven provider photos in your Care Team and the “My Care” tab. The Rx icon and title “Prescriber” also appear on the provider’s profile under their name if they can prescribe.
Are there any prescriptions I cannot receive on Maven?
Due to federal law, providers practicing on any telemedicine platform, including Maven, cannot prescribe controlled substances. Additionally, some employers and health insurance plans may exclude prescription services from their Maven benefits.
Important note: Prescribing medication is always at the discretion of the provider, using their clinical judgment. We cannot guarantee that you will receive the prescription you are looking for.
