As a Maven member, you get exclusive savings on eligible fertility medications through MavenRx and personalized pharmacy support throughout your treatment. These savings can be combined with your Maven Wallet benefit to receive reimbursement or direct coverage for out-of-pocket costs.

Beginning January 1, 2026, the fertility medications Menopur, Novarel, and Endometrin will no longer be eligible for reimbursement or direct coverage through Maven if purchased at the self-pay (uninsured) price.
Why is this changing?
Ferring Pharmaceuticals, the manufacturer of these medications, has clarified its pricing guidance for pharmacies. Under this guidance, discounted self-pay prices are available only to uninsured patients.
Because your Maven Wallet funds are an employer-sponsored benefit, Maven members are considered insured. This means that the insured rate applies if you want to use your Maven Wallet benefit for these medications.
What are your options moving forward?
Option 1: Use Maven Wallet funds for these medications
- Ensure that the pharmacy provides you with the insured rate for Menopur, Novarel, or Endometrin.
- The cost of these medications will count toward your Maven Wallet benefit maximum if you seek reimbursement or receive direct coverage.
While the insured rate for these medications may be three times higher than the self-pay rate, choosing this option allows the cost to be covered or reimbursed through Maven.
Option 2: Receive the discounted self-pay rate (not covered by Maven Wallet)
- You’ll pay out of pocket and receive the discounted self-pay rate for Menopur, Novarel, or Endometrin.
- These purchases cannot be reimbursed or directly covered through your Maven Wallet benefit.
- Choosing the self-pay rate may help you save your Maven Wallet funds for other eligible fertility expenses.
While these medications paid for at the self-pay rate are not covered by your Maven Wallet benefit, you can use your available funds for other eligible fertility expenses. This way, you’ll have your employer-sponsored benefits available for other treatments and services.
Which option is best for you?
You have the flexibility to choose the option that works best for your situation. It’s important to check your Maven Wallet balance to understand how much coverage you have available. This can help you decide whether to use your Maven Wallet funds for these medications or pay the self-pay rate.
