Getting care on Maven is designed to be simple, flexible, and centered on what you need—whether you’re looking for support right now or planning ahead. You can explore providers by specialty or connect with your recommended Care Team, then book a virtual appointment or send a message in just a few taps.
Below are the main ways to find the right provider for you and schedule care that fits your life.
Search by condition or specialty
If you know what kind of support you’re looking for, this is a great place to start.
- Open the Maven app or website and go to My Care.
- Search for a condition (for example, “anxiety” or “infertility”) or a provider specialty (such as “lactation consultant” or “mental health provider”).
- You’ll see a list of recommended providers who can help, along with their available appointment times.
- Select a time that works for you to book your virtual appointment.
Good to know: If you’re enrolled in the Pregnancy Program with Virtual Doula Care, your My Care tab will feature Doulas only. You’ll have unlimited, free access to virtual Doulas, plus articles, classes, videos, and more to support you throughout pregnancy and postpartum.
Explore your Care Team
If you have Maven through your employer or health plan, you can view and connect with providers on your Care Team directly from My Care.
- Open the Maven app or website and go to My Care.
- Scroll down and select My Care Team.
- Browse a list of recommended providers, as well as providers you’ve met with before.
- To schedule care, select Book video appointment under a provider’s name and choose a time that works for you.
- You can also select Message to send a note to a provider before or after booking.
This makes it easy to explore your options in one place and connect with providers who are familiar with your care and goals.
Request availability
If a provider doesn’t currently have open appointments, you may be able to request availability (this option is available for some providers).
- Select Request availability under the provider’s name.
- Choose your time zone and suggest a few dates and times that work for you.
- Send your request to notify the provider.
If you don’t hear back within 72 hours, the Maven Team will follow up to help you find a similar provider who can support you.
Learn more about a provider
Want to make sure a provider feels like the right fit?
- Select a provider’s name to view their profile, where you’ll find details about their background, experience, and approach to care.
- You can also send a message directly from their profile if you’d like to connect before booking.
A final note
If you have Maven through your employer or health plan, your virtual appointments and messaging with providers are 100% free for you.
