Getting ready for your Maven virtual appointment is simple. Whether you’re meeting with a provider for the first time or jumping into a follow-up visit, you can join in just a few taps from the app or your computer. Here’s what to expect before, during, and after your appointment.
How to launch your appointment
You can join your appointment in one of two ways:
Option 1: From the Maven app
Use the Maven Clinic app (available for free on iOS and Android).
Option 2: From the web
Go to www.mavenclinic.com and sign in to your account.
You’ll need a computer with a front-facing camera. For the best experience, we recommend using Google Chrome, Safari, or Mozilla Firefox.
At the time of your appointment
When it’s time to join, follow these steps:
- Log in to your Maven account
- Tap the menu icon (three lines) on mobile, or your initials on the web
- Tap Appointments
- Tap Launch to start your video appointment with your Maven provider
You can launch your appointment up to 5 minutes before your scheduled start time.
Please note: At this time, appointments can only be joined from one device using one account. We know it can be helpful to attend with a partner in another location, and while this isn’t currently supported, we’re always looking for ways to improve the experience.
How to prepare for your appointment
A little preparation can help you get the most out of your visit:
-
Complete your pre-session note:
Fill out your pre-session note and pharmacy information (if applicable) by going to Appointments and selecting your appointment. -
Update your health profile:
Be sure your allergies and current medications are up to date. This is required for prescriptions and helps your provider come prepared. -
Check your connection:
Make sure you have a strong Wi-Fi connection for the best video experience.
What happens after your appointment?
After your visit, a few things may happen behind the scenes:
- Post-session note: Your provider will share a summary of your visit and any recommendations. You can find this note in the Maven app under Me (on mobile) or your initials (on web), then Appointments, and by selecting the appointment. It will also appear in your Messages. (Providers have up to 48 hours to submit post-session notes.)
- Prescriptions: If medication is prescribed, it will be sent electronically to your chosen pharmacy once your pharmacy information is on file.
