Maven Wallet comes in two variations: Green and Gold. While both versions give you access to funds from your employer to use on eligible expenses, the main difference is how payments are processed.
For Maven Green members:
Maven Green members have access to employer funds via reimbursement.
- Self-pay: For services not covered by your major medical insurance and/or you have exhausted your major medical benefit, you will pay for self-pay services using a personal method of payment (or your prepaid Maven Card if eligible) and, depending on the Maven benefits offered by your employer you will be reimbursed.
For Maven Gold members:
Maven Gold members have access to employer funds via direct payment for fertility and reimbursement for all others.
- Direct payments: For fertility and preservation services at a Maven partner clinic, you can enable your Maven Wallet to pay the clinic directly using your Maven Wallet Benefit ID. You’ll see these transactions in your Maven Wallet.
- For all other categories of eligible expenses, you will pay for services using a personal method of payment, and depending on the Maven benefits offered by your employer, you will be reimbursed.
How do I know if I'm Green or Gold?
The easiest way to find out which version of Maven Wallet you have is to check your Benefit ID. To find it, tap “Benefit ID” under the “Me” menu, right below your name. Your card will be either green or gold, and the version will be designated in the lower right-hand corner.
