Welcome to Maven
If your employer is moving fertility and family-building benefits from a previous vendor or health insurance plan to Maven—welcome! We’re excited to help you continue your care with trusted providers and 24/7 support.
Maven now manages your fertility and/or family-building coverage. Here’s what to expect as you transition your care.
What is Maven?
Maven is a digital family health platform that supports individuals and families through every stage of care—including fertility, pregnancy, postpartum, parenting, and menopause.
As a Maven member, you’ll have:
- 24/7 access to virtual appointments and messaging with providers across 35+ specialties—like OB-GYNs, mental health providers, fertility awareness educators, lactation consultants, and pediatricians.
- A dedicated Care Advocate and Maven Care Team to help answer questions, navigate your employer’s family-building benefits, and connect you with high-quality in-person care.
- Access to thousands of medically reviewed resources, on-demand classes, and community support.
- Financial support for eligible fertility treatments, preservation, adoption, donor tissue, surrogacy, and/or other family building expenses through Maven Wallet, depending on your employer’s coverage.
If you’re not currently in fertility treatment
No action is required right now—but it’s a great time to get set up and explore what’s available to you through Maven. Follow these quick steps:

If you’re currently in treatment or need to continue care
If you’ll be in treatment on or after your Maven launch date, follow these steps to ensure a smooth transition:
1. Activate your Maven account
Once your benefit launches, visit mavenclinic.com/join/takecare or download the Maven Clinic app to create your account. If you need help enrolling, see: How do I enroll in my Maven sponsored program?
2. Access your Maven Wallet
Once your account is active, on your official launch date you’ll have access to Maven Wallet—your home base for managing your benefits and tracking eligible expenses in real time.
In your Maven Wallet, you can:
- View your digital Maven Benefit ID
- Find Maven in-network providers
- Access your coverage details and confirm your benefit balance
Note: Within your Maven Wallet, you’ll have access to your Maven Benefit ID. This is your unique identifier that Maven’s in-network clinics use to look up your information and confirm coverage—similar to a subscriber ID from your health plan.
3. Check whether your clinic is in-network
If you have an active Maven account, you can explore Maven’s Performance Network clinics near you using the Fertility Clinic Finder.
Once you’ve created your account, you can also access it by visiting your Maven Wallet homepage and selecting Find a fertility clinic.
You can search by:
- ZIP code, or
- City and state
You’ll see nearby in-network clinics (within about 50 miles), along with clinic names, contact details, and locations.
Note: If you don’t have an active Maven account yet, you can email us at support@mavenclinic.com for more information about our clinic network.
4. If your clinic is in-network with Maven
Maven will coordinate directly with your clinic so that claims for eligible services incurred on or after your Maven benefit start date are submitted to Maven. You’ll need to share your Maven Benefit ID with your clinic for them to submit claims for eligible services to Maven on or after your Maven benefit launch date.
5. If your clinic is out-of-network
You may be eligible to continue care through a network exception. Learn more in this article: Continuing Care With Your Current Clinic (Clinic Exceptions)
Understanding coverage and authorizations during your transition
If you already have fertility treatments scheduled or approved through your previous benefit provider, you may be able to continue using those authorizations for a limited time while your care transitions to Maven. This is known as a transition of care period, and it helps ensure there’s no interruption to your ongoing treatment.
Your overall coverage for fertility and family-building benefits will move fully to Maven starting on your launch date. Once your account is active, you’ll be able to view your benefit balance in Maven Wallet and use your Maven Benefit ID for any eligible services going forward.
